Nüur, Øsskar – Bica

Nüur drops his new three-track release Bica on the Earthly Delights record label, and it is an invigorating organic house EP with Afro rhythms. All three of the compelling tracks on this release combine intense synths and flowing percussion to create melodic grooves with a spellbinding aura of suspense. This is the seventh time that Nüur has released his music on Earthly Delights, and each release is more impressive than its predecessor. Originally from Colombia, but currently living in the UK, Nüur has been building an international fanbase within the organic house scene.

Earthly Delights is a regular outlet for Nüur’s music, and he has also featured on other prestigious record labels such as MoBlack Records. First up is the EP’s title track “Bica,” and it has got a fast-flowing melody played on an organic wood-block instrument. The mesmerising tones of the uplifting synth and invigorating rhythms of upbeat percussion ensure the track is perfect for the dance floor, while cinematic vocals create an epic sense of adventure.

Second on the release, “Mi Gente” fuses enchanting vocals with heavy percussion and a deep bassline. Its swelling pads build constant suspense, while it unfolds with the help of the fluttering lead synth. This is a track that has all the ingredients of an instant classic, and a sound that crosses over into melodic house/techno.

Closing the release is a collaboration with Øsskar called, “Anuk.” It is an excentric track with an experimental breakdown section, where sweeping strings combine with jazz-infused synth melodies and Arabic vocals. The main groove of the track is built around an engaging arpeggio synth and vigorous tribal percussion.
