Yeröm – Perception EP

Dear Dear Music is a Ukrainian record label from Kiev that’s dedicated to electronic music with melodic grooves. Their releases range from indie dance to melodic techno, and the new release is a three-track EP by Belgian artist Yeröm. Yeröm is part of the Deep Stories family following a release on our record label, and he has also released his epic style on other influential imprints like BeatFreak Recordings, Aftertech and Lost on You. The EP opens with the title track “Perception” which builds tension with held chords while the arpeggiated lead synth filters up to be the driving force. Its breakbeat breakdown section switches up the groove before the four-to-the-floor groove kicks back in to lift things up a gear. “Lost On Acid” opens with a strong offbeat hi-hat and dramatic chord stabs which intertwine with ethereal pads, but its defining element is the acid bassline. Introducing the main melody in the breakdown section, the track hits its full stride when the percussion slams back in. “Blurred Visions” closes out the release with its pulsating bassline and booming bass stabs that are overlayered with fast-flowing percussion rhythms. Its cosmic vibe and expansive sound are the perfect ending to this well-rounded melodic techno release.
