Medusa Odyssey, Soberboy – Ze Del

Medusa Odyssey and Soberboy have teamed up to release a magnificent organic house release, Ze Del, through Sol Selectas. Both of the tracks are a magical blend of Persian vocals, majestic synths, sequenced drums, flutes, and other organic instruments.

Fans of Persian singer Bahramji will recognise Medusa Odyssey from their work creating backing tracks for his songs. They are also individual artists within their own right, producing music for record labels such as Exotic Refreshment, Pipe & Pochet, and Sudam Recordings. Medusa Odyssey have featured on Sol Selectas in the past, but Soberboy is a Dubai artist making his debut on the record label. Soberboy is a stalwart of the Dubai club scene, having spent over a decade helping grow the local community through his many gigs in hundreds of local venues. He plays a wide range of styles, but focuses on melodic tracks with spellbinding melody. He is now making his mark as a producer, and working with Medusa Odyssey for the first time.

“Ze Del” has clinking percussion and throbbing bass surrounding emotive Persian vocals, while an electric santoor plays enchanting Middle Eastern melodies. The second track, “Can’t Sleep” is cut from a similar cloth, but has a slightly more uplifting vibe with playful melodies and soaring synth lines.
