deep story nr. 201 l impressions l by Joeski Joeski’s trajectory can be traced back to 1991, when he burst onto the NYC house music scene as a founding member of The Chocolate Factory DJ collective. He delighted crowds at Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium and NASA, helped turn “Save The Robots” into a NYC afterhours institution and earned his first residency at “Together” parties at the legendary Roxy, playing alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Louie Vega and Roger Sanchez. Joeski accompanies you and wants to bring you a little closer to this world. He conducts in the background and yet is always present. deep story nr. 200 l beyond reality l by Bergstock For many years now, I have been wandering through the wilderness as a lonely adventurer. Always in search of my destiny. With the sun setting the pace for my journey into the unknown, I roamed mountains and valleys, rivers and lakes, forests and steppes. The tranquillity seduced me to live now and the wisdom of nature moved me to stay. Out here I could experience what beauty means, but also how brutal life can be. My surroundings taught me to stay alert, which opened my eyes. Now I perceive things that are beyond normality. Single inconspicuous sounds can now give me more sense of security than an hour-long conversation among friends. My mind is in tune with flora and fauna. A blind understanding developed, guided by gestures instead of words. I was able to learn a lot about myself and my environment and come to terms with myself. Feelings of happiness now flow more regularly through my nerve cords and soften my petrified expression here and there. But the feeling of loneliness creeps back into my heart. Especially on days like these... I raise my flask and drink to another anniversary. The DJ and producer duo Bergstock, consisting of Lukas and Kevin, come from Cologne and specialise in melodic techno. Their sound is characterised by deep emotional moments as well as punchy highlights. This is exactly the mixture they present in the 200th edition of our podcast. Read More

deep story nr. 197 l first beat l by Denny Maechler I enter a narrow, dark corridor. It seems really heated up by all the people who have been passing through here for hours. In the corridor, one can only orient oneself by a weak light that falls into the corridor from the large hall. Oh how I have longed to be back in this place. These old walls with this high gracefully shaped ceiling and the gigantic mirrored windows, which make the entire interior seem light and seemingly weightless, captivate you from the second you enter the dance hall. A joyful excitement jolts through my body. In a moment the first bass would start. Read More
deep story nr. 196 l dancing in the sunlight l by The Robot Scientists I turn the old radio up to full volume and my foot starts to bob. Suddenly, the familiar feeling sets in. Happy hormones flow through my body and my stomach tingles. My limbs break out of their dull brain-controlled shadowy existence and bit by bit regain their autonomy. The bobbing of the foot becomes the first tentative dance steps and my shame-ridden resistance fades. A few seconds later my movements are already flowing and follow an imagined choreography. My spontaneous outburst of mood paired with the loud music quickly attract attention. The first people stop and watch with interest. Soon I have first comrades-in-arms on the large meadow, which serves us as a dance floor. The music attracts more and more passers-by in the park and little by little the meadow fills up. In me grows the feeling that I have attracted all these people with my joy and they now share it. Read More

deep story nr. 194 l congress of imagination l by Frank Klassen I open my eyes and perceive the blue sky with a foggy mind. With my palm I feel the lush green below me. As I turn my head, with my vision still slightly blurry, I catch sight of wriggling figures. They move rhythmically back and forth. Comforting warmth flows through my body as a brilliant white cloud makes way for the sun. Slowly I sit up and my synapses are further flooded with impressions. Blurry black and gray becomes peacock feather colorful. Laughter and wild dancing define the scenery, which is framed by electronic compositions. Everyone seems so free and carefree. There is a weightlessness of being like children's birthday parties from earlier times. The surroundings are decorated with attention to detail and the participants of this imaginative congress seem never to have encountered everyday life. Full of joy, I rise and enter the fray. deep story nr. 192 | the other side | by Othertune "You don't know how strong the dark side can be." This saying from a well-known science fiction epic is probably familiar to many of us. Even in reality, this statement retains its truthfulness. The dark side creates curiosity. The unknown what hides and opens only to the initiated. It is interesting because it is not good. And already we want it even more. In science, this is called the "Forbidden Fruit" effect. It goes back to the story of Adam and Eve, who could not resist the temptation of the forbidden fruit. The wicked and mysterious seem to awaken our primal instincts and seduce us. The dark is strong! Othertune has tried to capture this fascination of the dark in his set. It lives from his synthesizer sounds, which lay over your mind like fog and pull you deeper and deeper into the darkness. Can you resist the temptation? Read More
