Podcast Deep Story #109 | the big rave | AvoCado After what felt like hours waiting in the queue, it's finally my turn. I show my bracelet on which a capsule with red liquid is attached. My dad always says it looks like a miniature of his lava lamp he had in his bedroom as a child. The more I move, the more the viscous liquid in the capsule moves with me. But it doesn’t matter anyway. The only important thing is that it’s my ticket to the parallel world ahead of me. I briefly hold the capsule in a device and the door opens. In front of me is a narrow dark corridor. I feel like being whipped up by the energy of all the other people who have passed here during the last few hours. In the corridor, one can only orient oneself by a weak light, which falls from the big hall into the corridor. Oh, how I longed to be back in this sacred place. These old walls with that high gracefully shaped ceiling and the gigantic smoked glass windows that make the entire interior come alive and seemingly weightless, captivate me from the second I entered the dance hall. A joyful excitement takes control of body. The ceremony, or the "great rave", is about to begin. Just as the last participant has entered the hall, a feeling of complete peace descends upon the crowd. The weak light flickers one last time before plunging the room into darkness. The tension rises into the immeasurable, until at last a small rattling sounds cuts through the silence like a knife. All senses focus on this sound. It takes you by the hand and guides you. The feet start to move. Not only my feet, but those of thousands of people. Vibrations begin to well up from the ground. Suddenly a clapping sound abruptly ends the rattling and resonates endlessly through the cathedral, until the hi hats make their appearance together with the comeback of the rattles. The crowd begins to shake from right to left and the music gains in momentum every second. The dance steps make the ground tremble. Lightning flashes inaugur the next phase. Now begins the dull drone which will accompany us until the end of the event. Our most faithful companion through the night. More and more lightning flashes through the room and drives us on and on. Slowly you can see the outlines of the people next to you. They smile, sweat and move incessantly. Just when the eyes have gotten used to the weak light, the world around us is plunged into complete darkness again. But this darkness is not accompanied by silence. This time ecstatic cheers break out. A bright ray of light illuminates a pulpit in the middle of the room. Mist slowly clears and the initiator of the surging energy wave that floods the hall is revealed. He raises his arms and the music slowly lowers until he pulls his limbs down and the full force of the system releases the last of my endorphin reserves. The "Raverend", the high priest of the evening, has thus impressively entered the scene and taken control. Freed from all thoughts, I let myself fall and let myself be swept away by his music ... To help you to understand the introduction to our new episode story as impressively as possible, our guest AvoCado helps you to tickle your imagination with one of his atmospheric sets. Let yourself be carried away by his composition until the "Raverend" appears to you in the mind's eye. From now on there will be a new chapter every month about the world of the "big rave". Read More

Podcast Deep Story #108 | Essenz der Natur | DomDom A ray of sunlight falls through the windows high above the gallery into the great hall and illuminates everything in it. It symbolizes the light and joy that our surroundings give us every day. Mother Nature is the eternal source that feeds our body and soul. So lovingly caring and impressively monumental she continues to amaze us. She infatuates our senses, inspires our minds and paints colorful swipes in an otherwise dull concrete landscape. At the same time as strong as Atlas and fragile as the happiness of a human being. A place that impressively reflects all these aspects is located in a Roman-Byzantine style building from 1860 in London, the Museum Of Natural History. In this very building, the beam of light falls into the great hall, thus majestically setting the scene for the gigantic guardian of these venerable premises. A whale-size skeleton hovers majestically over this room. The cameras flash and the scurrying ants stop for a moment to lift their heads. This drama marks the beginning of a wonderful trip through a world full of curiosities. During this adventurous journey you’ll look into the eyes of a T-Rex, be awed by the lion's manes and grasp the full size of a blue whale. This wonderful exhibition contains the essence of nature and is definitely worth the trip. If you happen to be there, we recommend the audioguide by M.D. Dom aka DomDom. He describes the highlights of this unique experience musically and drenches it in emotions while at the same time preserving a clinical accuracy in his Deep Story. So headphones on and enjoy this mesmerizing spectacle. Read More
