The season has come when the leaves of the trees turn red-orange and eventually fall off. However, the leaves do not look so beautiful colorful every autumn, because this depends on the weather, which influences the great colors of the leaves. Brilliant autumn colored leaves are created by warm, sunny days and cool nights. Rain and cloudy days, on the other hand, reduce the light intensity and thus the color. Autumn, however, is not only colorful, but also heralds the dark and cold time of the year. A time when people gather around the fireplace in their homes, huddle close and listen to stories. So a perfect time of year for deep stories. Our Italian guest Massimo Logli has thought about this time of the year and captured it musically. Have fun with his deep story.

Continuation of deep story no. 179 We party until the early hours of the morning. Everyone at his own pace and on his own terms. The mood is exuberant and everyone seems totally relaxed, as if they have made peace with themselves and the world for this moment. The grass under our feet provides the perfect surface to dance carefree into the morning. Some sit back and chat and others enjoy a refreshing swim to regain their strength. The last DJ change of the evening is coming up. Two symphytic looking dudes in gorgeous colorful shirts step behind the desk with guitar and microphone. The last track of the predecessor runs out and the music falls silent for a short moment. The stage is set for Pandhora, who will give one of their famous live performances to close the event. I close my eyes and let the gentle sounds of the two globetrotters carry me through the morning.

My feet strayed from left to right and I moved slowly and relaxed to the ‘Schneckno’ music. The low BPM just felt right for my body at that moment. After the hectic and tightly organized weeks at ComRa, this spontaneous slowness was the pinnacle of deceleration. I enjoyed this state of mind and let myself drift across the grounds of the Open Air. With my eyes closed, I wandered through the groups of people, bobbing from one leg to the other again and again. This playful dance painted a grin on my face. At some point however, I stumbled and clumsily crashed down on the grass. I tried to make it look like it was part of my dance routine and continued to move my legs while lying on the ground like a ladybug. The people around me were visibly amused by my spontaneous improvisation and another dude actually laid down next to me and mimicked my movements. Soon a small colony of ladybugs had formed, and they celebrated the music for some time, while lying down. Soon after, a roar of laughter erupted and everyone curled up on the floor laughing. Following this spontaneous performance, I got invited for a drink and sat down in a circle of strange faces. But after a short while, my gaze kept lingering on one person. He also seemed to recognize me and we started talking. It soon turned out he was the guest who had collapsed at the last ComRa event and whom I brought back to its feet back then. In the meantime he was doing well again. He repeated his story that he was pushed by the other guests and especially by ComRa staff to keep going. After our meeting he was accompanied by my colleague ‘Lighter’ to the bar and actually got water there. Lighter had also been kind and understanding, but he had to leave at some point. Before he left, he radioed his colleagues. These had been unfriendly from the beginning and had urged him to go home soon. One of them is believed to have said that without energy to dance, he had no more value for the event. We talked for a long time about the evening, but also about other raves and we started to connect the dots. Meanwhile, time flew by and the DJs took turns. It was already getting dark and the volume of the music had been turned up. Also the bpm had gradually increased and almost all people are now dancing. Also my interlocutor and I decide to participate in the colorful hustle and bustle again actively. On the decks was an old acquaintance of the local scene. He had been around for what felts like an eternity and still knew how to convince the audience with his excellent mixing skills. We let the evening end with the best music from the legendary Michael Dietze.

Elated by the renaissance of music in my life, lightheartedness also returned. The next few days flew by and were characterized by a good mood. I spent a lot of time with old friends, laughing and enjoying the variations of electronic dance music. Since the weather had improved, we decided to visit an open-air party during the weekend once again. I quickly found a suitable event. A friendly collective wanted to accommodate the most necessary on a converted handcart and headed towards a small lake outside the city. An oasis of bliss from friends for friends without all the frills and fuss. When we arrived at the lake, we found a small community of contented people enjoying the sun with smiles on their faces. After the first cold drink my mood quickly went to the right operating temperature and the dance leg started to bounce. I didn’t stay for long on the picnic blanket. The music had a magical influence on me, like the singing of the sirens. Suddenly I was under its spell and started to dance. There was no defined dance floor, only a few individual figures scattered along the shore, moving timidly rhythmically. For many, this sight would probably be unremarkable and maybe even boring, but for me this scenery just felt right. For all the rave romantics among you, Erdi Irmak has created a deep story that perfectly conveys this feeling of lightheartedness on a balmy summer day.

Nature soothes my mind and soul. I can breathe deeply and let go. The all-suffocating darkness slowly recedes and warmth rises within me. Revitalised by this energy, I glide through the forest. Only slowly do the first thoughts come through to my mind again. This time, however, they spread confidence and even joy. I open my eyes and sun rays tickle my face. Outside, a wonderful day seems to have begun. But the bright light only causes a stabbing pain in my head. Annoyed, I turn to the side and escape from the sunny side of the bed. An unknown heaviness spreads through me and robs me of all drive. The events of the last few days are taking their toll. I have not yet been able to reflect on all that I have experienced. My head has so far suppressed everything and kept my back free so that I can simply function. But now I seem to have to face this task. Memories come involuntarily into my consciousness and want to be classified. What was fiction and what was reality. Where did I behave correctly and what could I have done better. But I do not manage to think in these categories. Something in me refuses to judge the near past. Instead of creating clarity, the whole thinking process unsettles me and only causes more severe headaches. And so scenes of the past night just fly through my mind uncommented and disappear again into the great darkness. A darkness that exists within me and seems to hide something.  I gather all my strength and pull myself together. After all, there is still a beautiful day outside waiting for me. So sunglasses on and out the door. Here the sun is also far less annoying and on the contrary even gives me strength. Now music on the ears and a round through the city forest to recharge the batteries. Continuation of deep story no. 172 Darkness surrounds me and is in me at the same time. An indescribable nothingness that spreads rapidly and takes over more and more of me. Nothing is to be seen, nothing is to be heard, nothing is to be felt, until I suddenly hit somewhere. My body aches and my eyes slowly get used to the surroundings. I can make out shadowy outlines. Shadows circle me and laugh loudly. They become figures without faces and continue to change their shape until they simply merge with the black background. Slowly something like an environment emerges. I seem to be in some kind of box and huge creatures look down on me, which have put on a wide and at the same time ominous grin. A loud humming sound is coming from them. It is deafening and pushes my auditory canal painfully to its limits. It takes me what feels like an eternity to get used to it. But then I notice that the hum is not monotonous. It is always changing and seems alive. As I direct my full concentration to it, I imagine I can hear individual words.  "Do you think he noticed something? We can't afford to have confidants. Just when we're about to make the big breakthrough, we have to be extra careful. He should be removed from the system." "The boy has been given the full treatment. There is absolutely no way he could draw a connection between his little discoveries and us. In just a few days these memories will have been pushed out of his mind. Consider the great potential of this subject. We shouldn't give up on that so quickly!" The last word reverberates in the surroundings and is reflected back from all sides. And while mesmerizing white clouds are drifting through the deep blue like beautiful, silent dreams; I feel as if I am completely one with myself and move blissfully along through eternal spaces. To be in the moment, to forget oneself and to be in a meditative state, be one with the universe that surrounds one. This is what attracts him to music and you can hear it in every bar of his deep story. A long night with many events had finally come to an end. Apart from the incident with the man who had collapsed from exhaustion, my shift passed without further incidents. At that moment, the customary closing track from ‘The Raverend’ was playing and the crowd was already preparing to leave the holy grounds. The guests were led to the exit by the ComRa staff in an orderly manner and soon afterwards the huge hall was completely empty. Many of the people seemed very tired as they had once again given everything on the dance floor. Hardly anyone asked if some other event was still going on somewhere. Most of them just wanted to go home after this intense night. Also I just wanted to go to bed and finally get some rest. My colleague ‘Lighter’ seemed to read my mind and sent me home before the end of my shift. For my first night, I did well, he said with a wink. Somewhat regretful, I searched for my belongings and strolled out through the large main gate of ‘The Kathedral’. My head was full of thoughts, almost clogged. It seemed as if I was unable to take in anything anymore. No external impressions really penetrated to me any longer. I made my way home on auto-pilot and crashed into bed, completely exhausted...
