Umami, Zigan Aldi, Inamo – Insight, Vol. 1

The music on this release comes from Inámo, Zigan Aldi, Umami and Monolink, who each remix a track by another artist on this release or present a new version of their own track.
Opening the release is Inámo who’s a regular feature of trueColours, and he presents a new version of his track “La Llama” which has invigorating energy created by extra percussion. He also removes some of the weightier synths to give the track a free-flowing groove. Zigan Aldi and Umami each collaborate with Monolink, but they also contribute to this release in a solo capacity, as Umami remixes Zigan Aldi’s individual track “Ahget.” Umami are a German duo whose music has also been released by 3000 Grad and Katermukke. Their remix of Ahget has hypnotic vocal tones combined with haunting strings and a beautiful piano. Inámo makes a second appearance on the release with a dub remix of “Terra Mount” by Umami and Monolink. After removing the original’s vocals, he fills the space with some epic synth parts that give the track a melodic house/techno sound that’s worthy of others such as Tale Of Us. Monolink and Zigan Aldi close the release with an ‘Instrumental Mix’ of their track “Fidale (I Feel),” which allows the synth parts to take centre stage after the original’s mesmerising vocal is removed.
