Alex Galvan – Journey

Alex Galvan is a talented organic house producer who ends 2023 with a captivating track called “Journey”, which is being released by Dialtone Records, as part of their ‘16 Years Anniversary VA.’ Dialtone Records is a longstanding record label that has built up a lot of respect for its consistent sound which orientates around mid-tempo and melodic grooves. It’s celebrating 16 years with a 9-track release that includes music by Alex Galvan, Michael Simon, Monojoke, VieL, Chris Hinguer, Juani Bria, Salas (CR), Sebastian Campo and KAZKO. The compilation is opened by Alex Galvan’s track “Journey” that’s in a similar style to the music he has released on other labels such as WAYU Records and Sounds of Khemit, which are two record labels that he featured EPs on in 2023. His releases on both of those labels charted inside of Beatport’s Top 10 sales charts, and they found support in the DJ sets of people like Lee Burridge and Sébastien Léger. Based in Mexico, Alex Galvan is also a skilled DJ and live performer who following numerous festival and club shows in 2023, is launching a new live set in 2024 that combines decks, synths, vocals, and a guitarist. “Journey” has mournful piano chords and dynamic percussion that captivates the listener with a contrast of deep emotion and upbeat energy. As the track progresses, it introduces a trippy melody sound and uplifting pads that lead to a majestic breakdown, which reaches a climactic ending with the introduction of a compelling vocal sample.
