The days before the big rave passed in a flash. My body was full of energy and endorphins. I would finally be able to take a look behind the scenes. Punctually at 6 pm I arrived at the old ‘Kathedral’. About 30 people were already waiting for the action to start. After a few minutes, a familiar voice sounded from inside the Kathedral and the centuries-old entrance doors opened as if by magic. In awe I stepped into the dark corridor and quickly found myself in a maze of creepy underground catacombs. At first glance, the staff entrance was not particularly inviting. The further we went, the brighter the light got. Many futuristic tube lights now appeared on the walls, and disappeared into the floor. Apparently there was another floor below us. There may be devices there that regulate the air supply. I could not find any access to the lower level. At a bifurcation we kept left and climbed the narrow spiral stairs. Once at the top, colorful lights greeted us. The stairs led to the middle of one of the bar areas in the large main hall. Here in a few hours the crowd will sweat to the wild bass of the ‘Raverend’. I couldn't wait to start the evening! To shorten the last minutes before the Big Rave. Our guests “Off Night” from Ukraine recorded a deliciously varied set. So get in the mood for the night with them and enjoy the calm before the storm

‘Lighter’ paces up and down in front of the big screen. He makes sweeping gestures and reveals to us all the secrets of a good rave. However, my thoughts do not revolve around the next big ComRa event. In my head I am still in the process of putting the new insights together like pieces of a puzzle to form an overall picture. Lighter must have known from the start that I was attending his seminar today. He also knew that I was new. Otherwise he would not have reacted so casually at the entrance control. As the host of the seminar, he should be there before his participants. So he knows me a lot better than I initially suspected. So it is time to listen to his words. When my mind focuses on his monologue, he is explaining how to deal with the guests. “So always remember it is important that people feel comfortable at our events, which also means that no one is allowed to cross the other's borders. You too must pay attention to this one golden rule. So be courteous and friendly, but not intrusive. But I'm not too worried about that. After all, the boss picked you personally because you have special social skills and have a positive influence on those around you. So just be yourself. Some of you will also be deployed at the entrance. Not a big deal, actually. As you all probably know, we at ComRa no longer work with cash. So you don't have the fuss with a cash register and you don't have to worry about small change. People just have to hold their capsule to the reader. You have to be careful that the guest holds his capsule against the scanner long enough so that the computer can read out all the data. You will then get an overview on the screen in front of you. In addition to general data, you can also see which ComRa events the guest last attended and how long they stayed on average. If you notice that someone has not been with us for a long time or regularly leaves events prematurely, please speak to them about it. Try to find out what the guest was missing or if they were dissatisfied with something. If you meet such guests on the dance floor after your shift at the entrance, try to make sure that they feel comfortable this time and stay longer. How you do this is up to you. After all, you are the experts and ambassadors of music. ”He said the last sentence with a noticeable wink. Immediately afterwards it was suddenly completely dark again and a kind of "aftermovie" of the last event was shown on the big screen. It does not fail to achieve its intended effect. Instead of thinking about what I have heard, my organism is filled with anticipation. Today's guest act Animal Picnic has already drawn attention to itself through releases on Einmusika, Diynamic and Steyoyoke. These guys definitely know how to stir anticipation.

While I waited, I noticed that there was no one else in the room or in the hallway. The place was completely deserted to my left and right. This loneliness depressed me. But before I could think about anything else, I heard a voice. Just like was the case with the music, I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. But somehow the voice sounded familiar to me. At that moment I got the request to enter the room : “Please follow the red line to your designated place.” Immediately afterwards, a glowing line appeared on the floor, which led me to the left corner at the back of the room. On the way, I could barely see a thing of the other people in the room. Everyone seemed to be standing in separate small cabins, which had been arranged so that everyone had an unobstructed view of the front. Just before I entered my cabin, I looked around again and could no longer see the door. It seemed to have been swallowed by the building. Instead, there was just a smooth surface. When I turned around, I saw that the word ‘ComRa’ had been displayed on the screen in front of me. Shortly afterwards these letters disappeared and the lights went out. For a brief moment there was complete darkness. Suddenly I saw something green in the corner of my eye. Something was flying overhead in space. It mixed with other colors and soon there was a colorful swarm all over room. On closer inspection, I could make out individual letters. They slowed down while spinning around and shortly afterwards they moved towards the canvas. There they took their position as if guided by a magic hand and finally they coagulated into the words "be the rave". When the lights came back, I noticed that my friend ‘Lighter’ was standing in front of us. "Yo I hope you enjoyed our little demonstration of our futuristic lighting technology." Now I understood why I recognized the voice from somewhere! Our guest’s name may ring a bell to most of you. After he released several "free downloads" for us, he is also the curator of the second release on Deep Stories Records. We are overjoyed that he has now also created a mixtape for our podcast series. Perfect for enjoying the first rays of sunshine of the year outdoors. So grab your Bluetooth box and head for the nearest park :)

In his podcast for Planet Ibiza, Djjuliimmaï has set off a veritable creative firework. Even the intro is unusual and indicates that a wild journey through the world of electronic music is in store. Since we don't want to anticipate the surprise, we won't go further into the intro and devote ourselves to the first third of the set and here the energy is built up right away...

Karol Colomb delivers a sensitive track with Child's Perspective, which convinces with its simple elegance. The build-up in the break is supported by a purposefully used clave, which breaks up the previous pattern and expands it sensibly...
