Podcast deep story nr. 128 l deep haiku l by Hekske For today's podcast, we invited the Flemish mystery artist Hekske to tell us a musical deep story. The "Bibi Blocksberg" of the downtempo scene has crafted a dark journey for us and follows in the footsteps of the Japanese haiku poet Matsuo Bashō. Her affinity to art, literature and nature is uniquely reflected in this experimental deep story. Discover the 17th-century Japan with intriguing melodies which form an unusual combination of playfulness and melancholy. It’s a tribute to the mystic knowledge of the ancient masters. As inspiration Hekske served the following haiku from Bashō. 古池や 蛙飛び込む 水の音 furu ike ya kawazu tobikomu mizu no oto Der alte Teich Ein Frosch springt hinein Das Geräusch des Wassers The old pond A frog jumps in The sound of water Read More
Podcast deep story nr. 127 l caught in a trance l by Mathias Kaden The eternally recurring four-four beat was the pulsating driver of this night. The blood shot through my body and endorphins were distributed to the last corners of my constantly twitching musculoskeletal system. The fog blocked every view in the anyway sparsely illuminated room. Therefore, it had become pointless to try the visual center of our senses still excessively. We sucked up the energy of the music, the movement and the positive thoughts with the rest that our body had to offer and gave it back into the room with double intensity through our wild dancing. The room heated up uncontrollably and the atmosphere was boiling. Caught in a trance of synergy, we developed incredible stamina. For hours we pumped our last reserves of energy out of our bodies until not only our bodies but also our minds were completely exhausted. More dreaming than awake, I wobbled from left to right foot and back again. My eyes had long since perceived only blurred outlines, and the rest of my senses seemed to gradually lose their ability to function. So I perceived completely exhausted only little of my environment until finally the memories of the further events disappeared from my head. Only scraps remained in my memory, whose credibility I could no longer validate. A cold unfamiliar environment with unfriendly people appeared again and again as a distorted image. These places could not have been in the club. This place in my memory seemed so alienating and sterile, it could not have been in the loving dance paradise that had been my home for the rest of the evening. The next morning I found myself contrite in my bed. On my arm I discovered the capsule with the red liquid, which I had actually taken off before the club. Only a few artists manage to put their listeners into this magical intoxicating state. One of them is undoubtedly Mathias Kaden, who has been delighting the dance floors of this world for more than a decade with his music and putting them into a trance. We are happy to present you this master of electronic sounds. Read More

Podcast deep story nr. 126 l something lasting l by Yeröm I fought my way groping through thick clouds of fog. My auditory canal was no longer receptive to human contact. Only the beguiling music, which was pressed by the boxes with sound speed by my head, was still perceptible for me. Soon I had crossed the room once and was surprised when the next wall made itself felt as rough resistance on my palms. I had to get used to this size again. The many oversized ComRa events dampened my sense of realism. I quickly took a liking to the shrunken dimensions in this club. The counter for essential fluids and the collection station for their leftovers were within seconds. Here I still had contact with people and didn't just have to follow instructions from machines. The living room atmosphere lifted my spirits and I discovered the dance floor for myself. I was able to take advantage of the full width and length of this playground and fell into childlike bliss. I felt free. The explorer in me awoke and I studied every corner of the room with my dance steps. A staircase leading down soon caught my attention. I left the upper floor and boldly entered a new realm. Down here, the walls and people came closer. I was able to share my urge to move with more individuals in this space and the music engulfed our minds. Here we drifted to be caught by the melodies of Yeröm. He enchanted this small basement with his driving tracks and provided us with a lasting experience. Read More

Podcast deep story nr. 125 l insane in the brain l by Passierschein A38 We enter a gray, cool and very functionally furnished building. One of these typical government buildings. Our goal is clear, but the way there is confusing. The first inquiry at the reception was already harshly blocked. The registration of a galley would have to be applied for at the harbor commandant's office. But that was not our concern, we are looking for a pass. The reception would be of little help to us. So we wandered lost as in a labyrinth through the endless corridors and floors. Cryptic and well-hidden maps did not provide any enlightening clues. As we wandered through the corridors, our minds seemed to slowly dissolve. Doors are no longer where they seem to be, numbers are no longer in the right order, and the actions of the people in these walls no longer follow any logical pattern. Since we want one thing and then the same thing again, the people here can't figure us out. This sets the sluggish masses into turmoil and soon there is a hopeless confusion. The old gray tie-wearers turn into startled chickens and suddenly use everyday office supplies as creative instruments. The reception hall turns into a madhouse of colorful sounds and we are right in the middle of it. Inspiring sounds flood in and we say goodbye to the last bit of sanity. We let ourselves be carried away and lose ourselves in this world that no longer seems to follow any known laws until a voice sounds and asks "What do you actually want? We just want the A38 pass! Our guest today has already blown up the borders of the musically possible and stunned people's minds at this year's Fusion. With his deep story he now repeats this feat! Read More
